Psalm 104

DWELLING in the Word

Psalm 104 (English Standard Version)

O Lord My God, You Are Very Great

Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are very great!
You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
2 covering yourself with light as with a garment,
stretching out the heavens like a tent.

He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters;
he makes the clouds his chariot;
he rides on the wings of the wind;
he makes his messengers winds,
his ministers a flaming fire.

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise.

He set the earth on its foundations,
so that it should never be moved.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.

“Wendy’s” Chili…do you want onions and cheese with that?!

Hon loves Wendy’s chili – he would buy and eat it every single day…and does!

My friend sent me an e-cookbook of copycat recipes and this was one of them.  I changed it up a little bit, and made the first batch.  I held my breath as SuperMan ate one…and then two bowls of it and pronounced it “Very Good – almost exactly like the original.”  Whew…

It really does look and smell pretty darn close – and is easy and economical.   Treat your family to fast-food…but you’ll know exactly what’s in it!

I read about the original-original and someone said that to make it the closest to, use frozen diced onions and green peppers.  Ever wanting to make things super easy, I do.  They also said it was imperative to boil the meat after browning.  So I do that, too.

Does it make a big difference?…

“Surprise” Pictures

Sorry I haven’t been on for awhile.   I finally got back here today.  I ran across this site on Tumblr and just had to post it.  It is so funny!  These are surprise pictures taken at a haunted house.  I can only guess what kind of ‘thing’ popped out at them.  These just got me laughing.  Check out the link to see more pictures!

I do apologize for the pictures on the last post.  I told you I am sort of new at this.  The pictures had nothing to do with the title and I didn’t go back to double check the post before I hit publish.   Then the next day when I realized what happened I had no clue now how to get the pictures off.   So thank you for hanging in there with me!!  I will try to get back more often and check out the post before publishing!  I have to post more often because there is so many things to share!!!

Fabric Coil Bowls from The Red Thread

Fabric Coil Bowls from The Red Thread

I ran across this site called The Red Thread: There are some wonderful tutorials there. I would love to make these bowls in a larger size for my cats! I don’t see why that can’t be done, I will have to give it a try. Go the The Red Thread to get instructions! She also offers free printables. I like the geo paper decorations. Check it out! I love new ideas!!!!

Banana Bread and Peanut Butter Cookies

MMmmmmMMmm.  So good.  I spent the morning making a double batch of moist banana bread and peanut butter cookies.  Two of my daughters favorite things to eat. The banana bread was very moist.  I made one large loaf and two mini loaves that we gave away to neighbors.  Here is the banana bread recipe I used:  Easy to make and yummy when it is warm with melting butter!

I haven’t made peanut butter cookies for quite a while.  I usually search the internet for recipes and compare ingredients before I pick which one I want to make.  I try to pick the recipe that I think will taste the best out of dozens available.  Both the banana bread and the cookies came out so well.  Now I have to restrain myself from eating too much of them!  Here is the recipe for the cookies:
